Epic Games’ ever-popular free-to-play battle royale title saw numerous pieces of Star Wars content come to the island during its last season. Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 took place during Star Wars Day, which re-added Lightsabers to the map, as well as numerous stormtrooper checkpoints. The prior season also added an Obi-Wan skin, showing how he appears in his eponymous Disney+ series.

Darth Vader Location

In order for Fortnite players to get their hands on Darth Vader’s Lightsaber, they’ll have to take it straight from the Battle Pass-featured Sith Lord himself. Players will need to pay attention during the beginning of the match, as Vader will be seen flying in on a Lambda-class shuttle, landing at one of the multiple potential locations on the map.

Marked with a red beacon and blue column of light, players can head towards the landed ship to take him on. However, it is highly recommended players arm up, as Darth Vader is one of Fortnite’s strongest bosses ever.

How to Get Darth Vader’s Lightsaber

Darth Vader will be accompanied by a pair of stormtroopers, both of which are carrying the E-11 Blaster Rifle, which has also returned to Fortnite as part of the new update.

After finding full shields, it is recommended players try taking out one or both stormtroopers first, as the E-11’s infinite ammo will need to be utilized. Darth Vader has a variety of different moves, including a Force grab, which can be used against the player or nearby objects, a Force jump, and of course Lightsaber swings and throws.

With multiple player reports that Darth Vader can only be significantly damaged while he’s executing a move, the E-11 really comes in handy, especially because there are bound to be several players that show up at the same time.

Should a Fortnite player manage to defeat the Sith Lord and any nearby competitors, they will be rewarded with Darth Vader’s Lightsaber and a Mythic version of the E-11 Blaster Rifle.

The iconic Star Wars blade can be used to block incoming fire, can be thrown like a boomerang, and easily cuts through player builds.

Fortnite is free-to-play on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
