Fortnite: Burst Assault Rifle Location
Players that are on the hunt for a Burst Assault Rifle in Chapter 4 Season 1 have many avenues that they can pursue, as the weapon can appear in Chests, Rare Chests, Supply Drops, and as floor loot. Additionally, Burst Assault Rifles can be obtained through fishing, with fishing holes acting as sources for the Rare, Epic, and Legendary rarities of the weapon. Fans should not look for the Burst Assault Rifle in Fortnite’s Oathbound Chests, though, as the weapon does not seem to come from those containers.

Since the Burst Assault Rifle can be obtained from so many different sources, players are likely to encounter the weapon through standard gameplay. That said, Fortnite fans can be a bit more targeted with their searches by focusing on locations that have a high-density of Chests and floor loot. Brutal Bastion, Faulty Splits, and Shattered Slabs are locations that match that description, and they have all been marked on the following map.
With respect to the functionality of the Burst Assault Rifle, it fires in two-round bursts, has a 1.5x headshot multiplier, and does not have a scope. While this weapon can be quite potent at mid-range, players may find it to be a bit underwhelming when compared to alternatives like the Red-Eye Assault Rifle. Indeed, it remains to be seen if the Burst Assault Rifle can find a home within the established meta of Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1.
As previously mentioned, the addition of the Burst Assault Rifle was just one component of the v23.00 update. Indeed, the update marked the return of Fortnite’s Shockwave Hammer, which was disabled very-temporarily in order to address a bug that players could exploit in order to bounce infinitely. Hurdling, which was disabled on December 17, 2022, was also reactivated by this small update, allowing players to once again maneuver over low obstacles very quickly.
