A few weeks ago, it was announced that players who played with five different friends during the Winterfest event would receive the Curling Iron emote at some point in the future. The event ran from December 13 until January 3, so it ended quite recently. This wasn’t a visible quest in the Quests tab, so players that didn’t notice it in the News announcements could definitely miss it or complete it without even being aware of it.

The Curling Iron emote is now being added to players’ lockers. This means that everyone that met these requirements during the Fortnite seasonal event will receive it. To see if they were successful in completing the quest and got the emote, players only need to log into Fortnite to check their account. For fans that were in range, a reward screen will appear immediately thanking them for their patience. They can then claim it, and flex the emote while in the lobby waiting for their next match.
Epic Games is constantly adding new free items to the game and thanking its players for still being a part of the community. The Curling Iron emote is one of the various presents that Epic gave away during the holiday season. During Winterfest, two stacks of presents were given away to Fortnite players that logged in while the event was going on. In total, there were 17 items inside the Winterfest presents - two of which were free skins.
The Chapter 4 Season 1 Battle Pass is also much more complete compared to others in the past. Now, on top of the actual Battle Pass, there are bonus rewards, midseason drops, and bonus skins. Back when Fortnite first started with the Battle Pass system, there were a few Battle Pass skins that players had to work very hard towards and that was it. As time went by, this was improved greatly, and it became much easier to fill up one’s locker in Fortnite.
Fortnite is available now for Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
