Teased through the recent spate of images coming from Fortnite’s Twitter account, it appears dynamite will be making its grand return to the game. The explosive was vaulted back in June 2019 in an effort to minimize the explosive items currently in the title, joining the controversial boom bow in not making the cut.

The tweet simply shows a picture of a bundle of golden dynamite, aligning with the current teases Fortnite is releasing in regards to the rest of Season 2. The bundle is surrounded by the words “danger,” seemingly hinting that it will once again be a deadly weapon that’s capable of doing severe damage to other players’ structures. It’s good to see the item make its long-awaited return, especially as it was one of the more popular weapons to make its way to the game in recent years.
The tease’s focus on gold seems to feed into one of the bigger hints going into Fortnite: Chapter 2’s second season, with many believing that the game might introduce a gold material to the game. A number of other teases have also implemented the bold color scheme, and with so many of Fortnite’s hints showing off the game’s arsenal of explosive weaponry, its the prevailing theory that gold structures might only be breakable with explosive ordnance. Luckily, fans won’t have to speculate for too much longer, as Fortnite: Chapter 2 Season 2 releases tomorrow.
Until then, it appears a number of fans have a lot of hopes and theories as to where Fortnite’s next season could be going. Some have speculated that the game’s map might be enveloped by a devastating flood, while others have theorized the update might introduce helicopters and other significant new features. Whatever Season 2 winds up being, players will no doubt be happy to hear that dynamite seems to be returning to the game after its lengthy hiatus.
Fortnite: Chapter 2 Season 2 will be available on mobile devices, Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One on February 20.
