While there are 20+ total balloons on the battle island, they remain gone once popped by any player. This also means slower Fortnite players may easily show up to any particular location to find the golden balloon already popped, thus requiring more time and effort in completing this challenge. Regardless, here are some of the locations where the balloons are easiest to find:

East of Paradise Palms North of Wailing Woods East of Wailing Woods Southwest of Lucky Landing Southeast of Retail Row Middle of Dusty Divot In Haunted Hills In Fatal Fields In Frosty Flights In Tomato Temple

While we consider these areas the best to get to these golden balloons, there certainly are plenty more, as detailed on this Fortnite map.

Although this challenge may prove to be frustrating for some, completing this week’s worth of challenges comes with a nice surprise. After leaking shortly before the launch of this week, players can now unlock the Prisoner Snowfall skin by completing any 60 weekly challenges in Fortnite season 7. It also seems plausible that this prisoner will tie into the setup for Fortnite Season 8, but until season 7 ends, that’s just conjecture.

How the Prisoner ties into the battle royale game’s complex lore remains to be seen, but for those who manage to complete all of the season 7 week 9 challenges will also be able to find a new hidden battle star. Since this is a free tier and one step closer to the coveted Ice King skin, it’s likely those that do not yet have the skin are hard at work grinding away these new challenges, but hopefully, the golden balloons are not a major obstacle.

Fortnite is out now in early access for Android, iOS, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
