With Season 6 Week 4, Epic has established a pattern of alternating between hidden battle stars and hidden banners from one week to the next in Fortnite. The leak comes in the form of a video, with the player flying around the new in-game assets to provide fans with a good view of the island. The clip shows that Kevin the Cube is holding up the unnamed island, with its surface level boasting a hodgepodge collection of familiar locals that had been previously removed from the map, including parts of the Motel. The mysterious island doesn’t have an official name of yet, so fans are simply calling it Cube Island, though one supposes Kevin Island would be acceptable, too....

According to Storm Shield One, some interesting cosmetic items have been added to the Fortnite database after update 3.5 launched this week. Though Epic Games has yet to confirm or officially reveal any of these outfits, the new items include skins, backpacks, fliers, emotes, and pickaxes. On Twitter, OnePlus announced that its new OnePlus 8 is now the only phone to offer Fortnite at 90FPS. This provides a “new level of smoothness in mobile gaming,” said the tweet. However, a report by GameSpot has revealed that by switching the 90FPS mode on in the game, it lowers the game’s graphics settings to low. The screenshot of Fortnite’s new Blue Elf skin comes by way of an Instagram story that got taken down shortly after Epic shared it on the social media platform, indicating that the cosmetic will be coming to the title soon. The outfit depicts a female elf with powder blue skin, icy wings, some festive garb, and a pair of black-rimmed glasses. As of now, there’s no word as to exactly when she will be added, or if there will be a male counterpart coming, too....

The free-to-play battle royale title actually just released a numbered update a few days ago. Fortnite’s update v21.30 added the Prime Shotgun, an all-new weapon which deals 50 percent extra damage on the first shot of the four-round clip. Insta-death location number one is located next to one of Fortnite’s latest map changes. Just a week ago, Epic Games added a landmark in an open field between Fatal Fields and Salty Springs where two holes were dug into the ground in the shapes of a fork and a knife.
