The purpose of update 3.4.4 was to address freezing issues and fix crashes on the PS4, but it inexplicably grew to a size that even threw Epic Games for a loop. The developer was quick to respond to the patch’s size through Twitter, where it acknowledged the issue and confirmed it was looking into it. There’s no word yet on when the patch will be replaced with something smaller, but it might be in the best interest of players to hold off on downloading it until they get the OK from the developer....

UFOs have been having a rather massive impact on Fortnite even before Season 7 kicked off. Quite a few game influencers received hints at what was coming next towards the end of Season 6. Then once the current season did start, players saw their avatars getting abducted and transported to parts of the map quite a distance away from where they were. Not long after that, users were able to get in smaller ships and fly around the world....

Kicking the Chapter off in style, Fortnite Chapter 4 has added a ton of new mechanics to the game, ranging from the ability to ride dirt bikes to the new capture points to a brand new Augment upgrade system. Along with that, both the Doom Slayer and Geralt of Rivia have been added as cosmetics, and some exciting new weapons have been introduced. But by far the impressive feature of Fortnite Chapter 4 is its new graphics engine....

The leak comes from HypeX, the leaker account that is reliable for providing datamined Fortnite information as it’s available. This new leak is something different, however. It’s not based on any specific information or datamined content. HypeX only says that it comes from their source, and one that they haven’t worked with much previously. That said, even HypeX is only willing to say that Season 4 “might” be Marvel-themed. They don’t elaborate on why they’re unsure....

Fortnitemares also introduced a few challenges for the ghosts so that they aren’t hellbent on killing enemies and rather spook them slowly to death. One of the prime advantages of being a ghost in the game is that you can still drive a vehicle and deal damage to the enemies. The enemies are often confused by this act as they expect a player inside. Since you are a ghost, it becomes harder to spot people inside these vehicles, thus scaring the your enemies in matches....

It goes without saying that fighting a cosmic super-being requires a significant amount of firepower. There are now even more map changes as the coming “Primal War” is almost around the corner. Several POI locations have already barricaded themselves in an attempt to fortify their locations from the upcoming threat. There are now a new handful of map changes at Retail Row. The changes are scattered across Retail Row, defending themselves against the nearby Spire tower. Fortnite Map Changes There are now a set of barricades by the Retail Row fish gear store....

The trailer focuses entirely on the aforementioned invasion, which Epic had already been teasing in-game with players being abducted by UFOs and the appearance of crop circles. Here’s a short overview of the Season 8 Battle Pass from Epic Games themselves. This time, the theme of the new Season is based on Pirates. There are also silly banana suits and snakes, but many of the skins are Pirate themed. There is even a Pirate themed weapon which is a Cannon, allowing players to deal 100 damage on direct hit and allowing players to launch in different areas....

One of these challenges is to find the 7 Sky Platforms across the Battle Island. Season 9 saw the addition of these new platforms, practically as replacement of the Pirate Camps from season 8, but these are stages that can only be found in the air. They are connected by the new slipstream tubes, meaning that there are two easy ways Fortnite players can access these platforms: either from the drop or via these new tubes....

More specifically, to unlock the Hulk Smashers Pickaxe Fortnite fans must complete three HARM Challenges within one of the Marvel’s Avengers Betas that are taking place on PS4 and Xbox One. The ever-popular free-to-play battle royale title from Epic Games is now into the second month of its inaugural season for Chapter 3. Making the jump to Unreal Engine 5 with the new chapter, Fortnite has received several significant changes, like the addition of the sliding mechanic and the newly destructible Timber Pines. According to a leak, tornados are going to soon be added, which doesn’t bode well for the trees related to this quest....

Ever since the aliens started taking over the Fortnite island, there have been many areas, specifically near the Aftermath landmark, covered in a purple-colored substance. These spots on the map are definitely not human-made, but players will have to head to these locations in order to find the scanners and deploy them for the Week 12 challenge. Island Rifts Codes are codes that lead Fortnite players to fan-made puzzles, which is an interesting twist on the traditional good battle royale formula. This particular challenge, made by Weck, features six levels with hidden Eggs that players need to shoot to be able to continue on to the next. The eggs are very well hidden in a few of the stages, so it can be pretty difficult for players to find all six....

The Omni Chips are small and red, and there are nine to find this week, with there being three groups of three.
