The latest Fortnite update introduced Pickle Rick to the game as a free cosmetics that players can unlock by completing Horde Rush quests in the limited-time game mode. Like with other seasons in the past, the return of Fortnitemares brought Horde Rush back to the rotation, which will remain an option until November 15 when it disappears for the year. Unlike the battle royale or other PvP-focused game modes, Horde Rush focuses on PvE mechanics from the Save the World client with a moving circle and a powerful boss spawning on the final wave....

As most Fortnite fans are likely aware at this point, the recent missile launch has led to there not only being a gigantic crack in the sky above the map of the ridiculously popular multiplayer sandbox survival shooter, but also it has caused dimensional rifts to pop up across numerous locations. One of those areas is Tomato Town, and many are starting to speculate that the tear in the universal fabric of the game is an indication that Epic Games might destroy the spot....

The reason for the drastic actions on Epic Games’ part was due to worries that there were broader data loss issues, or that the data loss would prove to be severe. So, Fortnite Save the World is down for the time being in order to find out how to recover players’ lost storage. Now it’s just a matter of time before storage is restored and the servers are brought back up....

As recently indicated by Twitter user iFireMonkey, the Fortnite game files now contain references that appear to point to a forthcoming Infected LTM. For the uninitiated, Infected is a game mode wherein “infected” players attempt to spread their contamination to “Survivors” who try to remain unaffected until a timer runs out. Indeed, iFireMonkey suggests that both “Infected” and “Survivors” are now mentioned in the game files, and this certainly seems to suggest that an Infected LTM is in the works....

As usual, completing these challenges will give the players several perks, including a chance to max out their battle pass by earning XP. This set of challenges is even more important as Season 5 will end on March 15. Luckily, this week’s challenges are fairly easy compared to the previous weeks. Players can complete these challenges daily without putting in a lot of effort. This week, there is a set of seven challenges that the players need to complete before February 11....

Two versions of the Wonder Woman skin will be available on August 19th, alongside the Golden Eagle Wings Glider, Athena’s Battleaxe, the DC Trinity Loading Screen, and two versions of Diana’s Mantle Back Bling. As seen in the screenshots below, Fortnite fans who have yet to encounter this enigma for themselves will not only notice the enormity of the alien-like structure, but also the blue aura surrounding the character’s PlayStation Plus Blue Team Leader skin. Once a player gets close enough to the purple cube, they cross over an energy field that emits strange symbols and slowly charges one’s shield. What’s more is that players can either drop in or build a ramp to get on top of the cube and bounce, while striking it with a pickaxe will send them flying....

Players can earn XP for completing each of these challenges and get closer to completing the Battle Pass. Almost every named location on the Fortnite battle royale map has a holiday tree somewhere on it, meaning players will likely be able to attempt this challenge regardless of where they land. Fortnite fans will want to keep track of which holiday trees they’ve already visited though, otherwise they may accidentally stop at trees they’ve already landed at before. After finding one of the holiday trees in Fortnite, players just need to go to it and dance....

Essentially, the Harpoon Gun acts as an advanced fishing poll. When Fortnite Chapter 2 patches and upgrades launched, it revealed the latest item, the Fishing Pole, that encouraged players to take a moment and explore the surrounding lakes. Over the past few days, social media has been awash with reports that invites to the Fortnite Android beta test have been sent out via email. A quick search on YouTube will produce many videos from people claiming to have received beta test invites directly from Epic Games, including one video from MasterOv (who has over 2.5 million subscribers) that is currently sitting at more than 200,000 views. MasterOv’s video includes a screenshot of an email saying that he will be sent a code in the next 72 hours and he will then be able to log-in to an online portal in order to retrieve the code....

Season 2’s theme is wrapped around secret agents, and new secret lairs have been added throughout the map to match this theme. Players will be able to purchase the battle pass for 950 V-bucks as per usual. Once level 20 of the pass is reached, players can unlock Brutus, the first of the Agents. From here, players can choose whether they would like to select the Ghost faction or the Shadow faction, once they have completed 18 of Brutus’ Briefing Challenges....

As explained today by a blog post from Epic Games, while Fortnite Battle Royale is now accessible to select users on iOS, this is just going to be the initial round of invites sent out, so for those who may not have been chosen this time around, the company promises to send out more “in the coming days and weeks.” According to Epic, it is expecting those chosen for the iOS Invite Event to take part in providing feedback on the title, as it’s currently in an early developmental state on the platform....

The Friday Nite Bragging Rights will begin on January 9th, and according to Epic Games, it would be a weekly tournament in Fortnite. Weekly challenges are basically tasks that a player can complete while playing their game. The weekly challenges can be seen divided into two different categories, one for Battle Pass holders and one for those playing without the battle pass that is, completely for free. First reported by Skin-Tracker on Twitter (via Game Informer), recent datamining suggests the popular mode from last year will be making a return to Fortnite. Within the text located by Twitter user Skin-Tracker, the last couple of lines in the tweet’s second image display the text, “POWER of Thanos.” If this revelation were to indicate a return of the mode, odds are it will be coming in the near future, given Avengers: Endgame’s impending theatrical release on April 26th....

The Deku Smash was introduced with the start of Fortnite’s My Hero Academia collaboration. The collaboration introduced a set of four premium My Hero Academia skins including Deku, All Might, Bakugo, and Ochaco. It also introduced the powerful Deku’s Smash item to the battle royale, found in special All Might-themed crates. Lastly, there’s a unique My Hero Academia island named the Hero Training Facility where teams battle each other and can earn special rewards....

RexSadio has created a concept for a Fortnite werewolf skin that would evolve as players earn kills. At the start of a match, players will look normal except for a gash on their ribs, apparently from a werewolf attack. At three kills, they become a little freakier, as their eyes start glowing red, fangs protrude from their mouth, and their clothes star to tear. At five kills, the transformation is basically complete, as players grow sharp claws, and their body is covered in fur as well as the blood of their enemies....

The first Dragon Ball Super content for Fortnite was released in August 2022 as part of a larger in-game crossover event akin to the Marvel and Star Wars crossovers the game has done in the past. Players could pick up Capsule Corps. capsules dropped randomly across the map during a match to receive either a Kamehameha attack or a Flying Nimbus to glide around the map. Goku, Vegeta, Beerus, and Bulma were all also added as skins for the game for players to unlock or outright purchase and are still available in the game’s shop....

On December 4th, Epic Games’ battle royale title, Fortnite, had an epic season-ending event for Chapter 2 known as The End. In it, players hopped online and queued to participate in a cinematic experience where the entirety of the Fortnite island flipped over to reveal a brand-new island for the upcoming Chapter 3. Currently, the servers for Fortnite are down, with no indication from Epic Games as to when Fortnite will come back....
