All of this took place live as an in-game event in Fortnite Battle Royale, for once the Ice Sphere was blasted open, it freed the Ice King, who then then summoned a giant, ethereal version of himself to cast a winter storm spell affecting the whole map. Not only is the entire playing field now covered in snow and littered with ice zombie minions, but also there’s an eerie fog that permeates the air, making it a little bit more difficult to see and keep track of opponents in the distance....

Twitter user HYPEX posted an image of the object, which they have labeled a “rock/comet/meteor thing.” Judging by its look, it’s no wonder why the thing is causing confusion. It’s unlike anything Fortnite players have seen before. Its codename is “boulder” and according to the leak, it has rolling physics and a “wake” effect. Additionally, it has stats, sounds, and is huge. HYPEX posted the mysterious rock’s stats alongside the image so players can start taking guesses at its purpose....

What’s more, it looks like Epic was ready and expecting a fight, because an anti-Apple publicity campaign is well under way. Fortnite’s makers released an Apple parody video almost immediately after the news broke. The short imitates a famous Apple ad from decades ago, advertising the company’s Macintosh computers with the theme of resisting a dystopian society like that of George Orwell’s 1984. It seems unlikely that Epic conceived, scripted, and animated this video in the handful of hours between the V-Bucks discount and the ban from the iOS App Store....

The most prominent change to Fortnite’s BRUTEs will be the addition of what Epic is calling a “Targeting Laser.” The BRUTE targeting laser will show the direction a BRUTE is aiming its rockets in as the rockets are being charged. Since the BRUTE gunner already knows where they’re aiming, the targeting laser is in effect a mechanism for other players to identify when they’re being targeted. Hypex, a Twitter account dedicated to Fortnite news and leaks, posted images of the data mined weapons. The images he uploaded showed off epic and legendary versions of a new type of Scoped AR. Along with that, he revealed a new kind of heavy shotgun that will fire slugs rather than shells. Fortnite Season 6 was initially slated to begin on September 25, 2018, which is next Tuesday. However, Epic Games has now confirmed that the Season 6 start date has been delayed slightly and will instead be on September 27, which is next Thursday. The developer announced the delay in a tweet published to the official Fortnite Twitter account earlier today. Though, Epic did not disclose the reason why Season 6 is being pushed back slightly, which has caused some concern within the Fortnite player community....

To begin, there are two areas that fans can visit in order to complete this challenge, and they are essentially on the opposite ends of the map. The first, and perhaps most obvious, of these areas is Fortnite’s Shipwreck Cove, which is located at the coast southeast of Catty Corner.
